NinjaTrader offers customizable sound alerts, enabling you to stay informed of market movements without constant screen monitoring. By adding custom sounds, you can tailor notifications for various trading events.
Adding Custom Sounds To NinjaTrader
In the NinjaTrader Control Center, navigate to the "Tools" menu and select "Options" from the drop-down menu.
In the General category, scroll down in the "Properties" section and locate the "Sounds" drop-down list. Click on the sound alert of your choice.
Locating The Sounds Folder
On your PC, open Windows File Explorer:
The directory may look like this:
This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > NinjaTrader8 > Sounds
Once you have a custom WAV sound file ready, navigate to This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > NinjaTrader8 > Sounds, and paste the file into this folder.
Volume Mixer: Controlling NinjaTrader's Volume
To change only NinjaTrader's volume on your PC, right click the speaker icon of your Windows desktop tray:
Right-click the speaker icon on Windows and select "Open Volume Mixer" from the pop-up menu.
Click on Open volume mixer and this window will appear, allowing you change individual application volumes and mute or unmute:
