Screenshots & Recordings Make Explanations Clear
Taking proper screenshots and screen recordings are crucial for studying your own performance, explaining issues, and sharing trading ideas. Posting proper screenshots in Discord is critical to your learning process as it prevents unnecessary questions and saves everyone time when responding to you.
Proper Screenshots

You can capture your entire monitor, a specific window, or a preconfigured region—helpful if you want consistent captures of the same chart area.
We recommend screenshots that are clear, properly labeled, and easy to interpret. Always make sure the instrument name, chart type, and chart size are visible, along with readable fonts and any indicator settings being used. If personal or sensitive information is on-screen, be sure to block or censor it cleanly rather than cropping the image. This way, your screenshots and recordings become powerful tools for trade review, mentorship, and documentation—supporting both your growth and the community’s ability to help.
While the tools offer cropping features, we strongly discourage cropped screenshots. Cropping often removes critical context like instrument labels, chart size, and important data that make it impossible to review or learn effectively later. Instead, make use of full monitor captures or window-only captures, ensuring all relevant information remains intact and visible. This not only preserves accuracy but also saves time by preventing questions about missing details.
Screen Recordings
Screen recording your trading sessions allows you to review and analyze exactly what happened so you can develop a habit for improvement.
